SAFE system...

combined with the rucompliant.com on line training and testing provides a complete solution for dealership Safeguards compliance.   The Safeguard rule is an integral part of the Gramm Leach Bliley Act.

The SAFE system development team
from our strategic partners at LK4Technology Corporation, include a former dealership executive, financial compliance officers and a National Security Agency information security specialist.  Since the Federal Trade Commission has not published a sample Safeguards compliance program, we have used itsproven bank compliance system and modified it for the fast paced dealership environment.  Using its dealership experience, the team used familiar industry terms and made the SAFE system easy to install and manage.

How does it work?

Rucompliant.com online training and testing module provides dynamic proof of compliance over time, and the SAFE system would then provide these necessary tools:

1 - The required risk assessment which identifies threats and potential impacts.
2 - Safeguards compliance policies for the dealership, board and employees in order to minimize the identified risks to non-public customer information.
3 - Procedures flow from the policies to give management and employees a checklist of acceptable ID theft protection activities.  These make the System meaningful and understandable.
4 - A Program Coordinators Tool kit includes convenient forms, rosters, and complete instructions.
5 - The SAFE System even includes an outside auditor’s package. This fulfills the requirement that a Safeguards compliance program be "auditable".

The SAFE system exceeds the Safeguards requirements and includes "Notice of Breach" provisions now required by many states and being considered as a federal mandate by the U. S. Congress.
